Big congratulations to all the Scrimba students who’ve landed jobs this week! 🥳 🎉

Gresham's I Got hired Story - Hi everyone! I'm excited to share some great news - I recently landed a job as a software developer! 🥳 I joined a German adtech company and I’ll be working fully remotely from South Africa. It's been a week since I started and I couldn't be happier. I began my coding journey with Scrimba in February of last year, hoping to learn enough to work on a project with my brother. We wanted to create a niche job board but ended up focusing solely on upskilling ourselves. After a few months, I joined the Scrimba Bootcamp and had an amazing experience learning from some fantastic people). Although financial issues prevented me from completing the Bootcamp, I continued coding and job searching, treating the latter like a side job. I'm thrilled to have landed the perfect role and to now be coding for a living, rather than just for fun — Congrats Gresham!!!

Hey, folks! Hold on to your hats because we’ve got some amazing news from Gresham - he just landed a brand new job as a software developer! 🎉 He’s now part of a German adtech company, working remotely from South Africa and he says he’s over the moon after his first week on the job.

Gresham’s coding journey started in February last year when he signed up with Scrimba. He and his brother wanted to create a niche job board, but Gresham ended up focusing on upskilling himself instead. He even joined Scrimba’s Bootcamp, learning from some fantastic folks, with a shoutout to Guil, who made it all possible. Although he had to drop out of the Bootcamp due to financial issues, Gresham kept coding and job searching, treating the latter like a side hustle.

Finally, all his hard work paid off and he landed the job of his dreams! Woohoo! It’s great to see people getting hired remotely, and Gresham is proof that it’s possible in your first tech job. So let’s all give him a massive round of applause for his incredible success story! 🙌

Tony's AI Quizzical app — Way to go beyond stretch goals! Great job.

Tony recently coded up the quizzical project with an AI twist! It’s a cool app using OpenAI - you can choose a topic to be quizzed on, or just go random. A really well done project!

Note: We did ask Tony’s permission before sharing this, as it does use OpenAI tokens, but actually the newest chatgpt model is a lot cheaper than the previous.

He is thinking of adding the ability to save questions into localstorage and maybe using localstorage to keep score across quizzes.
